In 2010, as our congregation looked forward to our 50th anniversary of ministry in Amherst, Immanuel undertook a major 3-year campaign ("Immanuel Rising") to raise both our committment to that ministry and to prepare our building and facilities for renewed and expanded service in the years ahead. To date, we have raised over 80 percent of our "Challenge Goal" in pledges and gifts, and we expect shortly to go over the top. Also, the congregation has displayed an enthusiastic committment to the work of beautifying and refurbishing our building and property through the dedicated effort of many committees and workers.
